Today's been a good day so far. Cole is nursing to sleep and Accalia's sitting on the couch reading a comic book. These past few days Accalia has been acting so, so grown up. She's been reading like crazy. She'll grab some of her favorite books and just sit someplace and read them to herself, naming all of the things she knows and asking me for help sometimes. Of course she still wants me to read to her, too, so I don't have to get all sad and misty eyed that she's suddenly going to not want to share books with me :) And she's been practicing buttoning up her shirts. She has very few shirts that button, but she's been getting herself dressed and undressed again and again. I can just see her taking everything in and getting ready to make the leap as she moves on to the next thing and the next and the next.

Cole continues to show off his standing alone skills and can easily go from a sitting to a standing position without any support. Then he jumps up and down and screams happily. Yesterday he was standing and then just plopped face first on the floor. I think he was probably reaching for something or wanted to go to something and completely forgot he hasn't quite figured out the walking thing yet. Soon enough...

It looks like we'll *finally* be getting our roof reshingled this week. Woo hoo! We hired our roofer last year! Long story and very frustrating, but as long as it gets done and is a decent job we'll be more than happy to put it behind us. Our roofer stopped by today to drop off the building permit and tell me where they're finishing up a job so we can check his progress. I drove past that house today - just a couple blocks from ours - and the good news is that it looks like a decent roofing job as far as my knowledge goes.

I think I'll put Cole up in bed. Accalia was looking very tired while reading, so maybe she'll want to take a nap, too...
