Last night we drove 1 1/2 hours to Mitchell to watch "Finding Nemo" at the drive-in. Going to movies at that drive-in was one of the highlights of living in that town (that and meeting my friend Sara!). Accalia was so, so excited. Both kids slept on the way up, so they were fairly refreshed when the movie started a little after 10 p.m. We sat outside for a few minutes with our friends Sara and Allen (well, Allen was in the car with their sleeping 4-month-old daughter, Claire), but we all headed back to our respective vehicles when the wind picked up and it started raining a bit. Accalia was absolutely captivated throughout the entire movie. She hasn't been that enthralled by a movie since seeing "Monsters, Inc." at the drive-in. Maybe it's something about Pixar movies. At any rate, Cory and I really enjoyed it, too.

It was close to midnight when we left, and the ride home was uneventful. Cory and I talked and talked for the 1 1/2 - partly to keep each other awake and alert and partly because we rarely have 1 1/2 hours of uninterrupted time together. Accalia woke up slightly when we got home but went straight up to bed. Cole took a tiny bit of settling down after his diaper change, but he went to bed fairly quickly, too. Thankfully he let me sleep in until 8 a.m. at least, which isn't enough sleep for me, but it's better than getting up at 6 a.m.!

No huge plans for today as far as I know. It's humid and hot. The weeding of the flower beds and our sad, sad vegetable garden will have to wait until the humidity is much, much lower.
